bark collar..?
im sorry i did everything plus the excersice but it doest work,
i really have to buy elect. collar please advise me the best from petco or petsmart the one the really works even for whining for my 5 year old beagle i will buy tomorrow tnx.
Don’t let anyone make you feel bad for what you feel you need to do. It is your dog and your situation. There is no one size fits all answers for this.
Beagles are barking dogs there is no way around this but there have been two suggestions that are the most humane and therefor less apt to cause future issues.
Citronella collars are the most humane but do not work on all dogs and some can figure out how long the refill lasts so you have to refill it all the time.
The Training collar that has a remote control device is far better than the automatic bark collar.It allows you to control the timing and duration of the correction. There should be three buttons at least on the remote, one for tone, one for short correction, and one for a longer correction.
The voltage should also be adjustable for safety’s sake.
I have heard of dogs that have had the auto bark collars on and the initial shock scares them so much they bark again from fear, that causes the collar to ramp up the shock causing another pain bark which causes another shock etc.etc. etc. you get the point I’m sure.
I know you want the best for your pet but make sure you investigate what the dog is barking at and remember what their original purpose was.
Is the dog barking at nothing or at a interloper on your property or a bird in the trees or a gopher in the lawn.
