Homemade food for dogs: tips to entice Eater weeping
You have spent hours reading books and articles, you have subscribed to related forums food for dogs, you've found some recipes that look delicious enough to provide food, you've been shopping for beautiful fresh ingredients. Are now all ready to start feeding homemade Dog Food. So delicious cooking smells delicious, and then you run into a snag: her precious dog, no want to eat!
Relax: it's not necessarily your kitchen is to blame! If Your Dog only had Kibble, then perhaps it time to get used to homemade dog food. Here are five tips to help you learn to enjoy real food.
Be clever: Enter the dog food in the form gradual mixing a little in his normal food, increasing the new food gradually over a period of days. Homemade dog food is a new experience for him in the texture and flavor, so do not be surprised if it takes some time to adjust.
Too hot? Remember to leave freshly cooked foods cool to room temperature before giving your dog. Check for "hot spots" in the middle of the meal, especially if you used the microwave.
Allow the hungry: to remove uneaten food after ten minutes approx. Your dog does not need a snack or "pasta" is not a sheep. If you are trying to encourage him to eat something new, it will be much more interested if you have had the opportunity to get really hungry. pattern of natural eating a dog is eating a big meal when the opportunity presents itself, then to rest. Regular meals are only part of humanity after life first domesticated the wolf dog. It's okay to feed your Adult Dog only once or twice daily.
Boost flavor: try a touch of grated parmesan cheese, or a splash of flavorful stock. If you smell delicious is half won game. If you are introducing your dog raw meat is not sharp, try to quickly sear the outside of the meat before offering it to him until get the idea.
Competition: If you have another dog, a cat or even try to feed the two together: psychology can work wonders. If all else fails, try to pretend you're eating something the dog's food yourself. This always works for me. Most Dogs seem convinced that if food is on the board of humans, must be something special! The last resort would be really share something with him that actually you eat: I never met a dog that could resist a piece of sausage.
Whatever you do, do not give up. When your dog has been eating dog food Homemade for a few weeks and you can see the improvement of their welfare, you'll be glad persisted.

How expensive is it to Make Dog food at home?
About how expensive it is to make dog food at home? My four dogs (3 large, 1 small) are currently on Science Diet (large and small bites) and costs about $ 25-30 per week to feed everyone. Does making food at home for dogs with quality ingredients in general, save money compared to breast and Science Diet brands marketed?
You have to do your own math Here, based on the ingredients you want for us. For me it was a little more expensive to mine – boiled chicken with baked potatoes and parsley. Parsley is grown in home .. I factor in $ 0 because I was using as my own kitchen as it was for the dog. The division of Chicken Breast that could buy about 99cents one pounds when I was lucky. The same price of sweet potatoes .. so adding the cost of energy to light my stove and oven, and the price of my time .. And multi-vitamins added … Probably + $ 1.50 a pound, but worth it. You can stretch it and reduce the price per pound of 'stretch' the chicken and potatoes with boiled rice, but of course you have to have better control over nutrition, since dogs are not primarily vegetarians, would be reluctant to go too heavy on the rice fear of adverse effects. So start your own recipe, factor in the price per pound of components, is divided by the ratio / s in the recipe, then you will price. If you are lucky to have a hunter in the family, or you can get your hands on free meat, then the cost is reduced accordingly.
