Have you had much success with remote spray collars?
I have recently adopted a dog who has a problem with coming when she’s called. I’ve tried treats with no avail, and I am thinking of using a remote spray collar.
Has anyone else used a spray collar with success?
It took our adopted dog a little while to figure out to come as well. It seemed like he was oblivious to what we were telling him. Sorry I can’t give advice on the spray collar, but I’ve heard they are best for barking issues. What seemed to help us was getting down on one knee and opening our arms wide and calling the dog in a upbeat tone. Get excited and be happy to see her! If she does come, then a piece of chicken or turkey seems to be the tastiest treat, but praise would be the best reward. If that doesn’t work, you can try working on the leash and giving her a tug when you call her. It may just take time, until she knows you and knows you won’t hurt her. Good luck!
